So ... here's what happened when I did the "Saving the World from a Meteor in 3 Minutes" exercise. Yes, I did exactly what I told you to do, listened to the video with the nice music, and wrote whatever came to mind. Not necessarily logical. I think it would have been nice to a long list of what everyone saved when we did this exercise in class. Maybe I should ask people to give me what they saved. I liked hearing what you all saved. It cheered me up immensely.
Event hough these classes are about the "WHY" and not the "HOW", I thought I'd tell you about how I made this double page spread, which is a good example of making your text go a long way visually. The backgrounds are car ads in Golf magazine (can you see how I cleverly covered the car?). Plus a few pics from a seed catalog + some random thing off my desk (old postcard) + some added lines and colouring pencils. Like I say, you don't need expensive materials, just a sharp eye and a little practice.
